Black Voices Initiative
In this collection, we spotlight publications that center Black artists, Black writers, and their work. The goal of ending racism requires people of different backgrounds to continually seek constructive opportunities to understand each other’s experiences and cultures.
The potential for change is real, but focused and sustained action is required.
It can start with you. It can start with a book.

Voices of AAPI
The Black Voices Initiative amplifies printed matter that centers Black artists, Black writers, and their work. In that spirit of amplification and solidarity, we are expanding our commitment to celebrate voices of AAPI heritage a new thread of this initiative dedicated to spotlighting the work and perspectives of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.
This expansion highlights the wide-ranging contributions of AAPI authors, artists, and thinkers, and supports books that deepen our understanding of identity, community, resistance, and joy. Through this project, we seek to broaden the conversation around race and culture, while continuing to center those whose voices have too often been marginalized or erased.
Our goal remains the same: to foster empathy, education, and dialogue through the power of the printed word.
