Society for Contemporary Art, 1940–2015

A catalog of contemporary art, highlighting the efforts of the Society for Contemporary Art at the Art Institute of Chicago. Founded in 1940 to help foster an appreciation and understanding of the art of the time, the Society for Contemporary Art continues that mission today with an array of free lectures and artist talks, visits to distinguished private collections in the United States and abroad, and access to leading national and international artists, dealers, critics, historians, and curators.
