Michael Genovese: Lines and Cracks and Zebras and Horses

This catalogue accompanies the exhibition at OHWOW, New York, January 12–February 9, 2013. Lines and Cracks and Zebras and Horses features Michael Genovese's new body of work based on lineation, cleave, and the concept implied by the aphorism, “When you hear hoof beats behind you, don’t expect to see a zebra.” A series of plasma-cut steel wall reliefs compose a subtle arrangement based equally on materiality and concept.
