Black Voices Initiative
The Black Voices Initiative amplifies printed matter that centers Black artists, Black writers, and their work.
The dismantling of racist institutions and the creation of anti-racist social structures can only succeed if examine what we love through the lens of what we have learned. On that account, we must seek constructive opportunities to understand each other’s experiences and cultures. It is imperative to continue the discussion and education around racial inequality and the systemic oppression of Black people—and one way we advocate for this is by sharing the richness and range of contemporary Black art and writing, alongside texts that support such advocacy.
Through the Black Voices Initiative, we hope to help foster meaningful, lasting empathy, conversation, and understanding in service to a more just and equitable world.
