Interested in the transformation and translation, but also in a dialogue that extends beyond art history, Roxy Paine has created his own complex and rigorous language.

His vocabulary of fungi, plants, and industrial machinery becomes the vehicle for his reflections on the mechanized production, and the human impulse to impose order and control on natural forces.

This volume, the artist’s first Italian monograph, documents some of his most important works produced between 1993 and 2015, including Dinner of the Dictators (1993–1995).
